Last winter 2010/11 saw heavy snowfalls, record low temperatures, travel chaos and school disruption. Referred to as, ‘The Big Freeze’, it was the coldest winter on record in Britain for 31 years. Much of the disruption could have been averted and safety fears waylaid had their been sufficient supplies of rock salt across the county.
As widespread chaos hit the UK, the government took all salt supplies and made it impossible for commercial resellers to purchase. Snow forecasts for 2011/12 suggest we’re in for another tough winter and here at B-Line we’ve thought ahead. We currently have 120 tonne of rock salt in stock, priced at just £10 inc. VAT per 25g bag and we’ll deliver FREE anyway in Oxfordshire!
